Happy Holidays! As we celebrate another joyful holiday season, I’m cozying up around the fire and grabbing a tasty mug of hot chocolate. In fact, this year I tweaked my standard hot cocoa recipe to be keto-friendly. I already shared my favorite mini-cheesecake keto bites earlier in the year, and while we may not be following a strict keto-diet in our house, I thought it would be worth sharing this homemade hot cocoa recipe since it’s a tasty option for anyone looking to cut sugar but still indulge this winter.
- 2 tbsp Unsweetened Ghirardelli Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/2 tbsp Swerve Sweetner
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
-
Heat cocoa powder, almond milk, salt, Swerve, and vanilla extract to a simmer over a low setting on a stove.
-
Remove from heat & pour into mug.
-
Add your favorite topping (marshmallows, candy cane, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, etc) and enjoy!
Let me know if you give this hot chocolate recipe a try and how it turns out! Wishing you a happy holiday season and a very Merry Christmas!
This is a delicious Hot Cocoa! Love the Santa Clause mugs!!! So festive & fun.
Thanks! You can always add more Swerve if you want it a little sweeter too! 😉
