Baseball Spirits!
It’s finally here! Opening day for Major League Baseball has arrived and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Beyond enjoying life outdoors as evident by my recent weekend bike exploration through St. Augustine, I’m a baseball/softball and golf kind of girl. I’ve shared some of my time on the links in Jekyll Island with you, my Around the Horn series posts last year, and of course there was my “Final Swing Before the Ring” Baseball Themed Bachelorette Party 😉 But whether I’m watching, playing, or just hanging around with other sports fans… it’s always better with a cocktail in hand. Am I right ladies?
To coincide with MLB’s Opening Day today, I’ve teamed up with Four Roses Bourbon to provide a tasty spring cocktail with delicious fresh berries and a hint of rosemary.
- 1 sprig Rosemary
- 2 parts Four Roses Bourbon
- 2 parts Lemon Juice
- 2 parts Simple Syrup
- 1/8 cup Muddled Berries
- 1 scoop Ice
-
Muddle berries in a mason jar.
-
Mix in Four Roses Bourbon, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup and stir.
-
Add ice and garnish with sprig of rosemary.
-
Enjoy as you take in MLB Opening Day!
I hope you enjoy this delicious Berry Bourbon Blast cocktail using Four Roses Bourbon. I love a great garnish and think the sprig of rosemary is the perfect balance of the sweet and tangy combination of lemon, simple syrup, and berries to bring out the Four Roses Bourbon flavor. As I cheer on my Braves this season… of course there will be more celebrations!
For more yummy cocktail recipes you can pop over to Four Roses Bourbon online, or follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. So enjoy this refreshing spring cocktail in honor of MLB opening day, and let me know if you have any other must-try cocktails this sports season! I’m all about having a good time and combining unique libations with a great game and look forward to sharing more flavorful drink recipes on Peachfully Chic, so don’t forget to stop by again soon and be sure to share this recipe using the social media buttons below!
I don’t drink Bourbon but my bf does and I struggled to find something other than an old fashioned when I came across this. I used a mixture of blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries which I had frozen on hand. And instead of straight simple syrup I added raspberry syrup (we had around for Italian sodas) instead. He loved it. Said he would order it in a bar in a heartbeat.
Sounds like a great combination! I’m glad you could find something that worked so well!! 🙂 I’ll have to give your raspberry syrup a try next time. xo, Allie
