Bloggers for a Good Cause – Sparkle Til You Drop:
Last week I was invited to join a great group of bloggers in raising support for Open Hand. Open Hand helps people prevent or better manage chronic disease through Comprehensive Nutrition Care™, which combines home-delivered meals and nutrition education as a means to reinforce the connection between informed food choices and improved quality of life.
Our host, Kelly of Kale Me Kelly, planned a wonderful night of Blowouts, Bloggers, and Bling at GlowDry in Buckhead. This was the second time I had the chance to check out GlowDry, if you remember I attended my first Atlanta Blogger Network event at this beautiful little navy and white beauty boutique last fall.
In addition to having access to GlowDry services, Kelly teamed up with Stella & Dot representative, Alex Woolverton, to share the gorgeous new line of jewelry and bags from Stella & Dot – Just in time to update your accessories wardrobe for the fall!
We sipped on Jane St. Vodka Soda and I’m pretty sure I found my new favorite summertime alcoholic drink!
I tasted a few of the flavors, but the Grapefruit Lemon was my favorite! Such a clever quote from their site, “Mixed so you can mingle,” describes why this would be the perfect entertaining beverage for any hostess to have on hand so she’s not stuck in the kitchen mixing drinks for everyone… Then you can step away from the bar and enjoy the party too!
The Stella & Dot jewelry was gorgeous and it was so much fun to browse their new collection! I debated on picking up a pair of their reversible stud earrings… but I held off. So now that I keep thinking about it, I’m probably going to purchase them online through Alex’s website. I feel like you can never have enough jewelry or bags!
My Attire for the evening was chosen out of function and style as I was joining the event immediately after work, and needed something that was light enough for the summer heat but also professional.
My top and skirt are throwbacks from a few seasons back at Express, my shoes are also a vintage pair I picked up from TJX a few years ago, and my jewelry is from Charming Charlie.
Although Kelly and I are wearing the similar color tops, this was definitely coincidence… but what can I say…great minds think alike! 😉
Eating with Erica, Kale Me Kelly, Natasha Kotto, & Me!
